August 5, Rome , - The sole caught in the Sanctuary of Cetaceans are toxic! All specimens that we have analyzed to be contaminated with heavy metals, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon and bisphenol A, in some cases beyond the limit allowed by law. And to think that their soles are recommended during the weaning children. The analysis that we commissioned the Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Siena, were performed on 31 specimens collected in 5 areas off the coast of Genoa , Lerici (La Spezia), Viareggio, Livorno and Civitavecchia.
